SICC Bukit Cafe

It's amazing how fast the pounds pile on during the holiday season where feasting and parties abound. So it's back to the gym so we can avoid the guilt when pigging out during the long weekend. We had a quick dinner at Bukit Cafe after the workout.

The Salmon Fillet ($16.80) with roasted baby potatoes, boiled broccoli and cauliflower with lemon butter sauce was a nutrient-rich complete meal in itself. Salmon was moist, flaky and simply seasoned with salt and pepper. But what I really liked was the baby potatoes, soft and aromatic with thyme and oregano lending natural flavours and scent.

The Jaipuri Vegetables ($7.90) with carrots, peas, cauliflower, peppers, in an onion tomato masala would have a lot better if not for the liberal usage of coriander leaves in the dish. It was peppery, creamy and mildly spicy.

We also got a little carbs, Ham & Cheese Toasties ($3.50) to share.

I have to say that one look and you could just tell that this was waaaaay better than the one at O'Briens. And it is less than half the price of the one at O'Briens!
