Hui Lau Shan, Hong Kong
This is the Fiance's favourite dessert shop in Hong Kong, and probably the only food that we miss eating in Hong Kong. Mostly because we feel that the Cantonese food in Hong Kong is generally too oily and salty. I'm not dissing the food in Hong Kong, it's yummy, but because it's loaded with MSG, salt and oil, we always end up with severe water retention after a trip to Hong Kong.
The Fiance's favourite dessert at Hui Lau Shan is like a combination of mango sago pomelo and our local dessert of pulut hitam.
The Black Glutinous Rice in Coconut Juice with Extra Mango (HK$30) is both refreshing and light.
