La Table, Ibis Seoul Ambassador, Seoul, South Korea

I was feeling a little peckish late at night but was too lazy to walk out of the hotel, so I went to the hotel in-house restaurant instead. I though I'd get something safe, like bibimbap, which is probably the easiest and most fail-safe Korean dish to make. Somehow, the Bibimbap didn't turn out very good, or authentic.

The Bibimbap was filled to the brim with leafy veggies, very grassy in texture, and topped with a fried egg.

The sweetish and mildly spiced Bean Paste that dressed the Bibimbap.

The clear and light Vegetable Cabbage Soup.

The Ikan Bilis side dish wasn't great, it was limp and almost tasteless.

The Kim Chi side dish also tasted flat.

The Pickled Cucumber, despite its fiery hue, was disappointingly mild.

The Cold Soup, the Korean version of Mexican gazpacho.
