We were both feeling peckish late at night so we went to this coffeeshop that I know opens late. I used to go there for supper after clubbing with my friends.

The Fried Hokkien Mee ($3.50 for small portion) here rocks. If you like the wet version, like I do. The noodles are nicely braised in a rich prawn stock, the seafood is plentiful and fresh, and the sambal chili is a little sweetish but still spicy.

We also ordered a Sliced Fish Soup ($4.50 for a medium portion). Despite the unassuming exterior of the stall, the soup was surprisingly good. The slices of fish were fleshy and smooth, and the soup was delicate and light. Fragrant fried onions were added for flavour and aroma.
