Tanjong Pagar MRT Xchange

Tanjong Pagar MRT Xchange has a long row of food stalls catering to the CBD lunch crowd. I think it's great because it's air-conditioned, cheap and good. This particular stall is known for their yong tau foo, so you always see a long queue of women flocking to this stall for a light and healthy lunch option. But they also serve up a range of somewhat decadent local delights such as laksa, curry chicken, and mee rebus, as well as western food.

I had lunch here with Ms Liang and Mr Harvest-The-Crops after collecting my passport from the Tanjong Pagar Plaza Post Office.

I got the Mee Rebus ($3), which was commendable but could have been better. The gravy should have been thicker and spicier, but it had that distinctive nutty and spice paste mix flavour that was sufficiently delectable.

The boys got the Laksa ($3.50), rich, spicy and creamy. And the ingredients, fishcake, shredded chicken, beancurd and a hard boiled egg were plentiful and generous.

I'm going to be mistaken as a transsexual sooner or later. Who's adding the cheaper food options to your blog.

Well I suppose it's not everyday that you get to know of a poor transsexual.

Hahaa. For the benefit of the readers: Ms Liang is actually a guy. Inside joke as to how he eventually is now referred to as a woman.
