Happy Chef Western Food

We went back to Happy Chef for some cheap and good western food. This place serves up consistently yummy and authentic grilled meats at hawker prices. It'd been raining the whole day so it was nice and cool at the usually stuffy coffeeshop.

The BF got the T-Bone Steak ($12) and replaced the fries with more poached vegetables instead. He'd been craving red meat for a while. The steak, while a tad fatty, was juicy, full-bodied and tender. At the unbeatable price of $12, this was very value-for-money, even if the steak was a little thin.

I got the Pork Chops ($5.50). This was moist and very flavourful. It was obviously marinated for a while. The luscious thick brown gravy complemented the vegetables and pork chops.

We shared a Chicken Kiev ($6), a generous portion of chicken breast stuffed with creamy cheese and ham strips. This was delicious as usual.
