===========================    We haven't had Greek food in a while, the last being dinner at Mykonos . The Greek had apprised us of another worthwhile Greek restaurant along Amoy Street, and it's been on my To-Eat list since then. We were serendipitously reminded of that when The Husband had a random hankering for baklava (well, not so random because we were watching Charlize Theron's character in 'The Old Guard' indulge in a little piece of baklava, and watching Charlize Theron have a "très très petite mort...

Helloooooo!!!! Wow that was an extremely extended silence huh?? Quick update, everyone's fine, in good health, happy... It's simply that life got busy (I've gone back to school, part-time, that is!) and between the classes and homework and tests (omggg, so many tests 😓😱😭...I question my decision to return to the student life Every.Single.Time. the exams roll around), and tv and the gym, and spending time with The Hubs (of course!!), my life was très occupé. Soooo, blogging took a backseat (bigtime!) and to be honest, I wasn't particularly inspired to write. And while I'm back, it's with the caveat that my blogging will likely be sporadic. ------ Okay, update's over!! ------ I'm not sure if you'd noticed, but I'm not a fan of Greek food. To be fair, I don't know much about and neither have I sampled much of Greek cuisine. I think, it's largely coz we've a dearth of Greek restaurants here in SG: Greek cuisine isn't quite as u...

Blu Kouzina

I've just realised that I don't like Greek food. And there goes my dream of retiring in Santorini , because how am I going to eat Greek food everyday right?! I'd be miserable. We recently had dinner at Blu Kouzina , possibly Singapore's most prolific Greek restaurant, and that was when I made the sad discovery. Mind you, it wasn't that the food at Blu Kouzina was bad. In fact, it was more than decent, even if it was a little inconsistent. It's just that Greek fare is so not my cup of tea. Herbs like dill and mint, and standard everyday ingredients such as feta, yoghurt and eggplant most oft used in Greek cooking are so not flavours I fancy. But, if you like Greek cuisine, you'd probably love this place. And, despite my dislike of Greek cuisine, we still had a pretty enjoyable time at Blu Kouzina . Mostly because service was quite exceptional. The attentive staff topped up our waters regularly, were...
