SICC Bukit Cafe

We headed to the Bukit Cafe to have a quick dinner after a grueling workout. You know, I've never been as heavy as I am with the Fiance. It's true what they say, true love makes you fat. I've had to work out extra hard because being with the Fiance is making me put on weight like never before!

It could also be that I'm turning 30, and as doctors say, your metabolism starts to slow down drastically around the time you turn 30. Apparently, according to a friend, it's when you turn 26, and not 30, that your metabolism starts slowing down. It's just that you don't notice the pounds piling on until 4 years later (as the cumulative weight gain is only obvious then) because the extra weight really creeps up on you.

We had a protein-rich, low fat and low carb meal of Grain Fed Ribeye ($23), done medium well. This was very robust, the kind of "smelly beef" The Professor likes. I should have asked for medium rare, this was quite tough and chewy, and needed a fair bit of salt. I also swopped out the mashed potatoes with extra par-boiled veggies for an extra dose of vitamins and fibre.
