The Patissier

The Patissier is one of my favourite patisseries. It marries the local charm of a homegrown brand and the sophistication of a world-class patisserie. The cakes may be a little pricey, but the luxurious ingredients and exquisite designs make them totally worth it.

We've had a spate of birthdays recently (Aries ftw!) and got the forever-young 'uns a sweet treat to toast yet another amazing year of their lives.

For a birthday girl sweet as pie, we surprised with a light-as-air Passionfruit Meringue ($48.15 for 6") fluffy sponge layered with passionfruit mousse, and dotted with fresh mangoes and strawberries.

The crown atop the Majesty Chocolate Cake ($48.15 for 500gm) seemed apt for the big boss-man. I'm not as fanatic about chocolate as many of my galfriends are, but this, with pillowy walnut sponge gilded with a delicate milk chocolate mousse and rich cream, and specked with croquante balls for crunch, was delicious!
