Imperial Treasure Nan Bei Restaurant, Ngee Ann City

I'd just moved back to my own place after house-sitting for Pops. We haven't been to Imperial Treasure for a while so we thought we'd have some simple Cantonese food for dinner after work one day.

Since Imperial Treasure stopped operations at their Suntec outlet, we went to the Ngee Ann City branch to have dinner instead.

We ordered the Wanton Noodles Soup ($6.50), thin springy noodles in a rich prawn broth with fat juicy prawn wantons.

We were in a soupy mood that day so we also got the Sweet Corn Soup with Crabmeat ($7), luscious and goopy, sweet and mild.

I got my favourite soup, the Beancurd Thick Soup with Seafood ($7). Delicate and light.

We also got some dim sum, Steamed Glutinous Rice in Lotus Leaf ($3.80), moist and flavourful.

We ordered another favourite dim sum, the Steamed Diced Mushroom Dumpling ($3.80). Chewy glutinous translucent skin with chopped vegetables, chives, and earthy mushrooms.

Of course we got some greens as well, Sauteed Baby White Cabbage (bai cai miao) ($12), simple, light and delicious.
