SPRMRKT

SPRMRKT recently revamped a bit part of their menu, and so, I brought a couple of colleagues, new to my favourite lunch spot in the CBD, to check it out.

The Twice-Cooked Salmon ($18), a pretty coral chunk of pink, was very nicely done. Fresh, incredibly moist and perfectly seasoned with beautiful golden charring. A viable option for the health-and-weight-conscious without compromising on flavour. The new addition to the menu, and best dish of lunch, hands down.

The Eggs Florentine ($14), from the all-day breakfast menu, with 2 softly poached eggs nestled upon spinach sauteed with garlic and lightly buttered crumpet toasts, was relatively alright. The eggs would have benefited from another 30 seconds or so in the boil but the crumpets were really good. Rich, buttery and delicious on their own.

The Kurobuta Pork Sausages & Mash ($16 plus an extra sausage at $4) could have been a little juicier, but the onion relish was, as usual, awesome. A great balance of the sweet and savoury. The creamy, herb-accented fork mashed potato was really good as well.

This was the version with Sauteed Mushrooms ($3), nothing extraordinary but delicious in its simplicity nonetheless.
