Pastamania, CPF Building

I've never really been a fan of Pastamania, mostly because it's really just bastardised Italian fast food. Stuff even an ACS boy would be able to whip up by himself in the kitchen. Admittedly, they are relatively cheap, which explains the prevalence of cash-strapped teenagers filling its branches. And, Ms PR wanted to have some Italian food over lunch so off we went to Pastamania for a quick, no-frills and cheap lunch.

The Chicken Sausage Linguine ($7.90) is simple, fuss-free and substantial, classic tomato-based spaghetti sauce with sliced hotdogs and green peas. Very generic but perfect for a carb-craving, even if the tomato sauce was a bit too watery and tasted straight out of a bottle.

The Garlic Bread (top up $2.50 for a set lunch with a drink) is probably one of their better offerings, this was nicely toasted and really fragrant and garlicky.

This outlet fairs poorer in their food, in my opinion.
