SPRMRKT

It's almost been a year since I last stepped into my favourite lunch spot in the CBD, SPRMRKT. I use my lunch hour to hit the gym, you see, so I don't really go out for lunch anymore unless there's L.A. Lunch or I'm PMS-singly hungry.

While SPRMRKT's menu has been slightly updated (a bid to keep their menu refreshed), its cosy, relaxed and unpretentious vibe is still very much a part of what makes them so charming and beloved by regulars.

Like with the Corn & Grilled Chicken Soup ($11), whereupon learning that Beeps and I were sharing it, they'd thoughtfully split up the soup into 2 bowls for the both of us.

Chunky pieces of tender smoky grilled chicken breast were dunked into a wholesome corn puree with sweet corn kernels.

The fried breadcrumbed polenta cubes were an excellent alternative to croutons. I'm not usually a fan of polenta but these were addictively good.

A new addition to their all-day breakfast menu, the Ham Cheese & Mushroom Omelette ($14) was delicious in its simplicity and ultra generous with the fillings.

Beeps opted for her favourite, the Chicken Mayo Breakfast Croissant ($7), with moist chicken tossed in creamy mayo stuffed between buttery pillows of flaky croissant.

only because it takes more discipline to work out before (need the extra shuteye) or after (too shacked out) work! heh
